ROC Pizza & Steak

Widely considered to be one of the best and most popular restaurants in Positano, the ROC Pizza & Steak is THE place to go if you love a good steak.

They take their meats very very seriously with meats sourced from farmers all around the world. Their meat is treated and presented like rare, vintage bottles of wine. They even have their meats presented in a display cabinet and if that doesn’t demonstrate the pride and care they give to the perfect steak then nothing else will.

Premium cuts are cooked to perfection using their custom made grill which maintains the unmistakable flavour of a juicy, grilled, piece of steak which melts in your mouth.

They also serve traditional and gourmet pizzas using creative ingredients which elevates the pizza new levels.

They have arguably one of the best selections of wines in the area and the sommelier will only be too happy to recommend the perfect bottle to go with your meal.

The ROC Pizza & Steak restaurant is part of the four star Eden ROC hotel so yhou can be confident of receiving a top quality service albeit at slightly higher prices than average.orable experience in one of the best restaurants in this part of Italy then the Terraza Bosquet is a no brainer.

Adamo ed Eva Ristorante

This light, bright and airy restaurant will seduce you even before you are seated at your table as you realise that the window wall looks directly over the harbour and Positano.

It’s beautiful to come here at any time but especially at sun set when you can admire the changing hues of the sky and sea whilst enjoying a delicious meal.

The Terraza Paradiso is a newer addition to the restaurant, a open air terrace that sits above the main restaurant and offers al fresco dining under the Amalfi stars and overlooking the sea and town below.

The Adamo ed Eva restaurant specialises in classic and modern Mediterranean dishes, sometimes traditional and sometimes with a modern twist but the food is regularly considered to be one of the best in Positano.

Guests appreciate the great atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff.

La Sponda

Although La Sponda may have recently lost it’s Michelin star that doesn’t mean the food here still isn’t amazing.

To get a Michelin star is very very difficult and to maintain it is even harder so there’s no shame when a restaurant loses this rating.

La Sponda still easily remains one of the best restaurants in Positano and undoubtedly one of the most romantic restaurants on the entire Amalfi coast.

Step inside to La Sponda and be utterly charmed by the candlelit restaurant and vine covered walls which set the tone for a very special evening.

Be charmed by the musicians and have your breath taken away by the utterly spectacular view of the cascading hillside of Positano.

And don’t forget the food. Yes, some people might complain on Tripadvisor and yes, the prices are high but you are in one of the most exclusive resorts in the world in a restaurant with one of the best views of that resort so things do need to be put into context.

If you’re celebrating a special occasion and are in Positano then a meal at La Sponda certainly has to be a consideration.

Zass

No guide to the best restaurants in Positano can be complete without including the Michelin star rated Zass, housed in the exclusive Il San Pietro hotel.

Located just outside Positano this classy and elegant restaurant is the proud holder of a coveted Michelin one star rating, there is only one other Michelin star  restaurant in Positano.

The food is typically Italian ranging from pasta and meat dishes to fish and there’s a lot in between! As you might expect from a Michelin chef there are plenty of creative twists to well known dishes as well as completely new combinations which you will likely have never tasted before.

There is a tasting menu which is suitably pricey but for the view and the ambience and the quality of food then it really is a price worth paying for a lifetime memory.

As fot that view, the restaurant has an elegant dining terrace with stunning views over the sea and rocky cliffs and it is easy to see why the Zass restaurant is booked months in advance.

Posides

posides-cafe-positano

Posides is almost an exception in Positano as it shows that you can eat out, have incredible food and not feel like you need to take a bank loan to pay the bill!

It is a small place with a very limited amount of tables and you cannot reserve in advance-it is walk in only but oh my goodness, prepare to be blown away!

The menu is ever changing as it depends on what they find at the local market on any given day. Knowing that gives you confidence that the food you are about to eat is as fresh as can be.

A ribeye steak will cost around € 40 whilst a wild red snapper is about € 35, other dishes such as gnocchi are less. This gives some indication that prices here are not extortionate and for Positano the prices are very very reasonable.

The restaurant is family owned and recent reviews on Tripadvisor from tourists claiming to have eaten all over Italy have concluded that a meal at Posides was tghe culinary highlight of their trip. High praise indeed!
